Bangladesh is now moving forward at an appreciable pace in terms of ecomomic growth and in respect of key social indicators. A few specific major achievements may be mentined. currently, the GDP growth rate in Bangladesh is the highest in the world, the country has the highest in the workd, the country has already reached the lower middle-incoms status, and the country`s progress in respect of reducing gender disparity is ahead of all other South Asian countries. Obviously, problems exist and may emerge in future, but Bangladesh is on track to achieve its cherished goals relating to sustainable development agenda in the course of time by overcoming the obstacles. The major existing obstacles are already identified and the goverment is taking actions to address them. This is certainly big plus than if these bottlenecks were left unidentified and, hence, unaddressed.
